Elliot Hernandez Takes Over leadership of PRAC of Southern NJ

  BY CLYDE HUGHES | AC JosepH Media  PENNS GROVE – Elliot Hernandez told Front Runner New Jersey this month about his mixed emotions taking over as the new CEO of the Puerto Rican Action Committee of Southern New Jersey.  Hernandez, who had a long career in law enforcement before he started working with PRAC last year, said he was humbled by the chance to lead such a venerable organization but heartbroken that he came with the loss of his good friend and former leader Ralph Padilla .  Padilla, the longtime CEO of PRAC and public servant, died from health complications in June. Atlantic City Boys & Girls Club's Morgan Mohammed Returns from Training in Alaska

  AC JosepH Media ATLANTIC CITY — Morgan Mohammed , the lead STEAM teacher at the Boys and Girls Club of Atlantic City recently traveled to Fairbanks, Alaska for an innovative clean-energy training program, the KidWind ReCharge Academy . Her weeklong trip, sponsored by Atlantic Shores Offshore Wind , allows her to bring back exciting new content for the Club’s STEAM program.  Now in its 17th year, KidWind’s REcharge Academy is a flagship educator training program focused on clean energy. The intensive training blends lectures from experts and tours of energy facilities with replicable hands-on K-12 lessons to give educators content as well as context. Mohammed was selected from more than 100 applicants. She joined 31 other STEAM educators from across America at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks for this year’s program.  See full story here

  BY CLYDE HUGHES | AC JosepH Media  Women's clothing is Samantha Hyman's thing and it has been for a long time.  The local entrepreneur who started her online fashion store VERRE , Hyman said she hopes to soon have her own line soon, she is living out her dream of being a business owner and selling fashion.  She admitted the business owner bug caught her early, before most young people consider getting a car or going to the prom but said that passion is what led her to some of her greatest joys and being able to give back.
